![]() The notes.app, in my opinion, is for just that. The problem I have with just 'notes.app' is the actual function. I find it interesting that the Sticky has been around since the early Mac OS and yet it seems to be the forgotten child. So, community, does anyone else use stickies (desktop version, mind you, not sure why the Dashboard version doesn't sync with desktop version, but that's a different rant)? Does anyone have a sync option? Does anyone know if there may be something down the pipe for the good old Sticky from Apple? sync to dropbox, or third party sync options like syncmate), then there's the abomination that is StickiesSync (seriously, what a great idea, and what a let down, will it work? does it work? was it ever meant to work? is anyone still working on it?), but none of them offer a SIMPLE sync AND a way to be portable with the stickies. I've found other potential workarounds as well (i.e. Yes, there are some apps that try ( memo, Notational Velocity, Evernote) but they seem to (1) not work, or (2) are way more complicated than a simple sticky needs. I would think the skeuomorphic people at Apple would be salivating over the possibilities.Īt present, there are NO reasonably SIMPLE apps that sync stickies. Swipe up to flip between notes, no menu, no clutter, just simple yellow/blue/green squares that have you notes. Imagine a little yellow stickies app that resembled a real sticky note pad. I would LOVE to have the option to sync stickies too! especially on the iPhone. I do realize you can now rip off individual notes and put them on the desktop they just can't sit there translucent and without the line clutter (cough skeumorphism) like a sticky. The sync is effortless and the convenience is wonderful. I love having the ability to sync these via icloud. I use the notes app for longer term notes that may require action or simply might be needed in the near future. I have a personal MBP, MA (Mountain Lion), and iPhone 5. ![]() kind'a like what paper stickies are used for. ![]() ![]() I love the ability to have a translucent sticky note that lets me jot down notes from phone messages, quick address/telephone #'s/directions/names/etc. I use stickies on my Lion at work (they won't let me upgrade to ML for 'security reasons'). Ok, I've searched high and low for an alternative to my situation. ![]()
